Online payment of taxes
The Cyprus Tax Department has issued a reminder to taxpayers that direct taxes shall now only be paid online via the payment electronic system of JCC. This is applicable for, income tax withheld from earnings under PAYE, reduction of wages in the wider public sector, interim and final income tax of natural or legal persons, and Special Defense Contribution. Payments must be made to the District Tax Offices only when they include interest and penalties or when they arise from a revised self-assessment statement for income tax.
